Again, I didn't me to be gone for so long, but we had some trouble with internet access while out of town visiting family - it was out at my father-in-law's house. I had planned to keep things going at the shop while we were gone so it was a little bit of a necessary hassle to get internet access. I went to my grandparent's house a few more times than I would have normally and then we found that if we drove around the corner, there was an open wireless connection. So, I would camp out in the car doing only the essentials - answering convos, following up an order, etc. Luckily, it was in a cul de sac without any nosy passersby - I sure felt silly in the car with my computer parked in front of someone's house.
So, without further adieu, here is the long awaited first haircut of Baby N. After a week or two of having people call Baby N a girl, I decided it was time and I was ready for it. It took me a little while to find someone to do it, but when my friend Mandy found out I was looking for someone, she happily volunteered. So, here's the before (well, just the back, he was getting nervous about sitting in the chair, so we didn't take the time for anything other than a pic of the lovely back curls) and the after - looking like a big boy, but still not giving up the binky. Thank you Mandy for doing such a great job!
He's definitely growing up and I've decided to stop calling him Baby N on the blog. I gave the boys nicknames when I first started the blog because I didn't know how I felt about using their real names and I figured the most cautious route was the best one. So, I talked it over with Ryan and we decided it would be OK for me to use our boy's first names on the blog. So who are they? Baby N is Ned and Little P is Peter.
And since we're talking about growing up and it is the time of year that we take notice of all we are thankful for, I'm thankful that Peter is finally (after three months of solid potty training) using the toilet for all of his business! Hooray! Please do not ask me for advice on potty training - apparently I had no idea what I was doing!
One more thing and I promise I'm finished - this is my 100th post. And may I say that I love what I've started here - thank you so much for coming here to read, leave comments, and share in the fun! In honor of 100 posts, I do have a little giveaway up my sleeve. In honor of Ned's first haircut, I'll be giving away an assortment hair accessories - bobby pins and ponytail holders with fabric covered buttons. Just leave a comment before Wednesday.

Your little growing-up boy is so cute!
Happy blogaversary! Thanks for all of the crafty inspiration that you provide!
Ned looks like a little man! Those first haircuts get me every time!!! (Is his hair getting more blonde? I thought it was more strawberry than that.)
Happy blogversary. We need get together soon. I'm craving some girl time!
Oh, Ned looks so sweet!
I wish Peter would give Jack some advice on the toilet training. We are going nowhere on that train. LOL
For all the business?? Hooray Peter!
Found your blog a while back and have been lurking ever since. Oh, the little first haircuts. It really changes them, d0esn't it.
Happy Blogiversary! I had 100 posts a few months back and it was fun to do a little giveaway.
I was recently realizing that my "baby" really isn't a baby anymore. He's a toddler. And I want to give him a big-boy haircut, but I just can't right now. Well, partly because he still doesn't have a bunch of hair to cut.
Happy blogaversary.
Oh, Ned looks so cute! And HOORAY for Peter! They're both growing up quickly.
I've done the same thing with my laptop when our internet was out and when on the road. How did we ever manage without wireless internet?
Congrats on your 100th post!
as with Megan... i have to admit to being a "lurker" - but i love the pictures and the ideas that spawn from your totes, aprons, etc. thanks for the inspiration! :-)
Congrats on your 100th post. Hope you had a fun Thanksgiving!
Yea for a Jessi give-away! Sign me up and congratulations on your blogversary (what a funny word.)
I cried when my baby had his 1st cut and still want to for each trim!
Love the names and I struggle with the whole privacy/name disclosure thing too.
We called my brother "Baby" Gill when he was tiny. He is 24 years old now and some of us still call him "Baby" Gill. Funny for a 5 ft 11 " military man!
What a big boy with that new 'do! Happy blog anniversary, Jessi! I'm so glad to know you. :)
Happy blogaversary! I cried when I cut my little guys curls off. Congrats on the potty training.
My little guy looks like such a grownup after his haircuts too. Nice, but a little sad too!
Ned (Or shoudl I say little Ryan?) looks great! the first haircut is definitely the hardest.
I've probably read nearly all 100 posts! You've got a great blog here.
My little Elle would love getting dolled up with your hair accessories! Thanks for a chance to enter the contest!
