A Few Days Away

We just spent a couple of days in Yellowstone with my family and without DH, who had to work. I haven't been here for over ten years - it was fun to go back and see what I remembered from my youth. The kids really missed their Dad and I'm not sure I'll do this again unless he can come or until they're a little older, but we had fun anyway and it was nice to be out in nature.

A hot spring at Norris Geyser Basin.

Baby N showing off his appliqued shirt (I had to include a little craftiness in this post).

Little P refusing to show off his shirt - he was too tired to bother at this point.

Old Faithful Erupts.

Buffalo - I especially loved seeing the calves. I don't know that I've ever seen buffalo calves before. I probably have and just don't remember it.

And we leave again tomorrow to go spend time with family for the 4th of July. Where are you going for summer vacation?

I agree Jessi, I need to learn how to (properly) knit as well.

Yellowstone looks so fun! For the summer we're going on our annual camping trip, this time to Mt. Lassen. And we may squeeze in a trip to Great America and Santa Cruz Boardwalk before school starts.

We're leaving for Yellowstone in a week, and we'll be there for 10 days! I love it there, and my kids look forward to that trip every year! Glad you enjoyed it.

We'll also do Logan, Park City, and of course St. George and Vegas. The party never ends around here!

Looks like you had fun in Yellowstone. I don't think I've been there since I was 10. Our one summer vacation will be Disneyland at the end of July. Hope you have a Happy 4th!

That picture of baby N. is awesome! Love those teeth. We aren't taking a family vacay this year. We bought SeaDoos instead. We live around lots of lakes and felt like the cash would be better spent on something we can use weekly. However, your trip look amazing. I don't know the last time I saw baby calfs either.

Well Baby N sure seemed to be having a good time! That's one heck of a smile : )

Great photos - I hope to visit there someday, too.
